![]() For Immediate Release An Intimate Tour of Portland�s Cultural Landscape: Portland, Ore. - Explore the food, thought, and people that make Portland one of the most livable and energetic cities in the country with the Portland Center for the Advancement of Culture (PCAC)�s third Know Portland event on Sunday, April 27th, in southwest Portland. Each tour in the Know Portland series begins with dinner at a unique restaurant and culminates with a visual and performing arts experience at one of the cities flourishing independent art centers. All proceeds help establish the PCAC as a healthy, locally focused arts organization dedicated to supporting local artists and sustaining the cultural economy. PCAC�s April event focuses on southwest Portland, and the evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with eclectic Mediterranean cuisine at the Persian House located at 1026 SW Morrison. Following dinner, the group will migrate to Conduit Dance Inc. at 918 SW Yamhill for performances by Portland choreographers Mary Oslund, Tere Mathern, Josie Moseley, Minh Tran, Robyn Conroy, and Jenn Gierada. Performances include the Mary Oslund Research Workgroup from an emerging piece called You and You; Oslund + Co/Dance with portions of its newest work, Fold; sections from Tere Mathern Dance�s Water; solo works by Jae Diego in Amen choreographed by Josie Moseley, Minh Tran in Ancestors, and Robyn Conroy in Do I Have To?; and a duet with Jenn Gierada and Noelle Stiles called Split. Also on display will be visual art by Gary Sweet (ink), Troy Klebey (photography) and Rebecca Shapiro (oil painting). Tickets are $40 and include dinner and the arts component.
